Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Vallejuelo: Our Women’s Program in Vallejuelo is now in its sixth-year with nearly 50 single moms and close to 300 children participating. These women have learned baking, beauty salon and sewing skills that they will use to support their families. Many have come to Christ and all have a new sense of self-worth and confidence.

In early 2022 we moved out of our small rental space and into a new site! The new site is the result of a partnership in Vallejuelo which we designed to include space for a bakery/café, beauty salon and boutique. We are raising funds to purchase the equipment we need such as furniture, appliances, and food stocks. Our site is located on the main street, and this new Christian business enterprise will raise awareness in the community. These women will ‘pay forward’ a percentage of their profits to help launch new women’s programs across the DR.

San Juan de la Maguana: In early 2019 we launched our second Hope and a Future Women’s Program in San Juan. Pastor Junior Ramirez and his wife, Keisy, are working with a group of women at their church, Methodiste Libre. This group has outgrown their small space in the church, which they rent. We are now looking for larger space in the neighborhood.

Santiago De Los Caballeros: Faith Partners International is working with Pastor Pedro de la Rosa and his congregation at Comunidad Cristiana Metropolitana (“Central” is New Hope EPC’s sister church) to establish a Women’s Program in the North (a six-hour drive from San Juan). We are currently evaluating sites to determine where the need is the greatest.
